Implementing the EPBC Act: ACT Forum

Impacts, updates and lessons learned

The Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 is Australia's most important and influential environmental law.

The ACT Division of the Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand (EIANZ) are holding a one day forum on this legislation for industry professionals. Speakers include respected representatives from law firms, government departments and ecological and heritage professionals.

Richard Sharp, Senior Consultant - Environment and Infrastructure, in our Canberra office, will be facilitating the forum as it explores implementation and efficacy of the Act with regards to heritage, impact assessment, threatened species, biodiversity offsets, compliance and negotiating approvals, judicial decisions and replacing the EPBC Act.

Attendees can expect to walk away with a greater practical understanding of the intricacies of the EPBC Act, latest developments and potential changes.
