Themed  'Utopia and beyond: the Journey and the Destination' this year's Victorian Planning and Environmental Law Association's (VPELA) Conference was a success, attracting over 250 delegates from around Victoria.

Held in idyllic Lorne, on the Great Ocean Road, the two day conference provided great insight into the future of planning across Victoria over the next 30-40 years.

Planning Minister, Hon. Richard Wynne in his Ministerial address announced the state's new planning authorities, the Victorian Planning Authority, an extension of Metropolitan Planning Authority and the Geelong Planning Authority.
