Themed 'Biodiversity in Rural Landscapes', the one-day conference attracted over 500 delegates Australia-wide from ecological consultants, land managers, state and local governments, water authorities and environmental agencies.

Key note speaker Associate Professor Ian Lunt's presented on the topic 'From science to inspiration: 10 tips to promote ecological literacy and successful conservation in our communities'.

All presentations by the research scientists and government departments including the discussions focussed on increasing the efficacy of communication between industry experts and the general public.

  • Restoration and management of vegetation
  • Non-government groups in conservation
  • A vision for rural landscapes of the future

We congratulate the conveners and presenters of this successful conference, and look forward to our ongoing partnership of this valuable event. And, we especially support the sharing of research findings, industry experience and the networking opportunities with our colleagues in the field.
