Our specialist team worked closely with planners from Tract to respond to the communities' needs in preparing a strategic plan to address the challenges and opportunities arising from significant growth in the Wallan area.

Wallan Structure Plan is a 28 square kilometres in size (28,000 hectares) extending form Old Sydney Road in the west to the Epping-Kilmore Road in the east, and encompasses the whole of the existing Wallan township.

Our ecological and cultural heritage desktop review and field assessments provided the baseline data for community consultation, and the environment and open space focus group provided in-depth feedback on the draft Structure Plan.

The final plan is guided by a vision that aims to support sustainable growth of the town while retaining aspects of Wallan’s ‘country town’ character, which is highly valued by the community.
