Ecological Investigations of Petroleum Leases in Moura, Central Queensland

Ecology and Heritage Partners were engaged by WestSide Corporation to complete ecological investigations and relevant Environmental Authority compliance of a small drilling campaign near Moura in central Queensland.

The investigations included confirming the extent of any Category B or C environmentally sensitive areas (ESAs) under the Environmental Protection Act 1994 and the Project’s EA and other significant ecological features present which may require avoidance such as threatened species habitats.

Our team also completed a review of the Project’s obligations under the newly enacted

Regional Planning Interests Act 2014, including assessing the potential impact on Strategic Cropping Areas (SCAs, previously termed Strategic Cropping Land) and Priority Agricultural Areas (PAAs).
