Policy Development
Our experienced team of cultural heritage advisors and archaeologists provide specialist input into policy matters for a broad range of stakeholders. They include state agencies in Victoria (Aboriginal Victoria and Heritage Victoria) and relevant policy drivers in Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia, Western Australia and Tasmania.
The development and implementation of clear and workable policy however; comes from many sources.
We have played an integral role in providing policy advice in relation to recent amendments to the Victorian
Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006.
Oona Nicolson, Director, Principal Heritage Advisor and VPELA Fellow, often operates in an advisory capacity through the
Australian Association of Consulting Archaeologists Inc. (AACAI) for Aboriginal Victoria. She provided an independent review of the amendments of the
Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006.
We have also been involved in the review and development of other cultural heritage legislation and policy across Australia.
