Heritage Act 1995

In Victoria all historical places are protected under the Heritage Act 1995. 

When are permits required?

Permits are required from Heritage Victoria for any impacts to any registered historical heritage places or any historical archaeological sites older than 50 years.  Permits may also be required from local Councils for impacts to places registered on the Heritage Overlay of the local Planning Scheme.
